Dreadful Agenda – Frequently Asked Questions

✍️ Where Did the Name Dreadful Agenda Come From?

It all started with a pastel marker, a true crime podcast, and a brand-new Happy Planner my husband gave me for Christmas.

There I was—surrounded by cute stickers, writing down appointments in bubbly handwriting—while listening to someone narrate the details of a crime. I paused, looked around at the cheery chaos, and thought:

“This is a weird mix. I need a more grungy planner.”

And just like that, the name hit me:
Happy Planner? No... this is a Dreadful Agenda.

The whole vision came rushing in—case files, videos, stickers, mugs, all with that same twist of dark curiosity and practical awareness. It wasn’t just about crime stories. It was about taking this strange combo of journaling and justice and turning it into something real and meaningful.

I'm still building it all, piece by piece. But that quirky moment reminded me that sometimes the best ideas come from being exactly who you are:

A little creative, a little curious, and not afraid to mix glitter pens with murder podcasts.

❓ Why do you make true crime content?

I make true crime content because these stories matter. I believe we can learn from them—about warning signs, about patterns, and about the ways we can protect ourselves and others. My goal is not to glorify the crime or the criminal, but to shed light on the darkness and create tools that help people become more aware and more prepared.

❓ Aren’t you just profiting off tragedy?

This is a question I take seriously—and it’s one I’ve asked myself. The short answer is: I don’t profit from murder. I work to prevent it.

The revenue I hope to earn—from ad views, product sales, or support platforms—goes toward creating content and resources that:

  • Educate people about real cases

  • Empower viewers with awareness and insight

  • Provide tools and encouragement to avoid danger and protect others

Every product I create is rooted in purpose, not profit alone. I never sensationalize or mock victims. My merch is carefully designed to empower, not exploit.

❓ What makes Dreadful Agenda different from other true crime channels?

I format each video the way I wish someone had when I first got into true crime:

  • Concise, no-fluff storytelling

  • Open-ended questions to spark deeper thinking and personal investigation

  • Printable case files that neatly organize the main facts

On the blog, I also include takeaway lessons—ways the case might help someone stay safe, notice red flags, or better understand the complexities of dangerous dynamics.

My focus isn’t just the what happened, but the why it matters now.

❓ Do you blame victims for what happened to them?

Never. Many of the cases I cover involve victims—often women—who were harmed by people they trusted. It's never the victim's fault for not seeing the signs. In a perfect world, no one should have to look for signs at all.

Where I point out patterns or red flags, it’s not to say "they should’ve known better"—it’s to say "maybe someone else can see this sooner next time."

❓ Isn’t your merch just turning crime into a trend?

I understand that concern—and it’s why I don’t do joke shirts about serial killers or use violent imagery.
My merch is about awareness, empowerment, and community. It’s for people who’ve seen the patterns, felt the fear, and want to feel a little stronger and safer.

You’ll find designs like:

  • “Red Flags Aren’t Romantic”

  • “I’ve Seen All the Documentaries”

  • “Trust Your Gut, Even If It Shakes”

These pieces aren’t about making light of tragedy. They’re about arming people with mindset, confidence, and caution—and yes, supporting the work I do along the way.

❓ Do you donate to victim advocacy groups?

I hope to as the brand grows. Right now, the income would help support me and my family so I can continue producing content that educates and empowers. But I have plans to collaborate with or donate a portion of proceeds to relevant causes when I'm able—and I’ll be fully transparent about that when it happens.

❓ Can I suggest a case?

Absolutely. You can use the contact form or submit a case idea through my [email/newsletter/DM—insert preferred method]. I especially welcome cases that haven’t gotten enough attention or have important lessons to share.

❓ How can I support your work?

  • Watch, like, and share the videos

  • Download and use the case files

  • Buy a piece of merch if it resonates with you

  • Join my email list or Patreon for bonus content

  • Tell a friend who needs to hear this kind of message

And above all, stay safe, stay aware, and keep asking good questions.
